Hi, I’m Joan, a handmade jewelry artist and a follower of Jesus.
I grew up in a remote mountain village in Guizhou, China. My childhood was marked by poverty and hardship—so much so that I was raised not on milk, but on rice water, leading to years of poor health. My family struggled deeply, and life at home was often painful.
One night as a child, overwhelmed by despair, I looked up at the stars and prayed:
“If there is a god—whoever you are, whether Buddha, Zeus, or anyone—please save me from this life. I will believe in you.”
Years later, I became a Christian. Looking back, I know it was not a coincidence.
Among all the gods I cried out to, only the God of the Bible answered.
God not only helped my father pay off his gambling debt and rebuild our family’s finances, but He opened the door for me to study abroad. That’s how I came to know Christ, met my husband in church, and eventually made Malaysia my home.
For a long time, I thought I lacked money. I chased it tirelessly, but always came up empty. I finally asked God, “Why do You bless others, but not me?”
He gently showed me:
“You never lacked money. You lacked love—and wisdom.”
Now I see.
It’s not wealth that gives us value, but a heart transformed by truth.
As Jesus said in John 8:32:
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
About My Handmade Business
I pour my heart into every handmade piece, with sincerity, diligence, and joy.
God has given me the creativity and hands to do what I love—not just for myself, but to bless others. Through these creations, I hope to bring beauty, meaning, and joy to those who wear them.
I also want this work to support causes close to my heart: helping churches, orphanages, and the vulnerable, while sharing the truth of Christ’s love. Every piece is a small act of love and a step toward a more generous, faith-filled life.
On Pricing and Value
My prices are set with thought and care—not too high, not too low.
I want everyone, whether from humble backgrounds or wealthy families, to experience the joy of owning something beautiful and meaningful.
Most of my pieces are limited editions. Some are truly one of a kind. Because of the difficulty and uniqueness of certain materials, many designs are not reproducible—even if someone is willing to pay more later.
Some designs are so intricate they take hours, days, or even leave my fingers sore from the work. Yet I treasure the process. True value isn’t measured by price alone—it’s in the heart, effort, and uniqueness behind every creation.
One day, I also dream of creating a premium line with real gold or silver, not for luxury’s sake, but to reach those in higher circles—so they too can support meaningful causes, and encounter the love of God in a new way.

我是一个在中国贵州大山里长大的孩子。我母亲告诉我，婴儿时我不是喝牛奶长大的，而是喝清米汤长大的，我个子矮小，就是因为营养不足。父母因为贫穷所以性格很极端，经常打骂我。小学的时候，我父亲因为赌博欠了很多钱，父母经常吵架打架，一家人都很痛苦。有一天夜晚，我对着星空说，如果这个世界真的有神的话，无论你是谁，释迦摩尼也好，上帝也好，还是什么希腊神话里面的神也好，只要能救我脱离我现在的生活，我就相信你。经过很多年，我成为了基督徒。我相信这不是巧合，因为每当我怀疑上帝是否听到我祷告的时候，他都会让我想起我儿时对着夜空说的那几句话。在满天神佛中，只有上帝听了我的祷告，想救我。上帝祝福我父亲还了赌债，而且做了生意，虽然很辛苦，但是也存了一笔钱能供我出国留学，这样我才能认识神，在教会认识我老公，才能留在马来西亚，继续在神的爱里成长和生活。
从小到大，我以为我缺少的是金钱。很多年我都执着于追求金钱，可是最后都以失败告终。到最后我问上帝，为什么他祝福别人，而不祝福我，为什么别人能事事如意，我却充满坎坷。上帝告诉我，我缺少的永远不是金钱，我缺少的是爱，和一颗充满智慧的心。
虽然金钱很重要，但是我不能成为金钱的奴隶。我缺少的是一种品格，一种刚强，一种生活理念，一种态度。金钱，神一直都在祝福我，可是很多次我都不会管理。

我希望认识真理，让我真的活出自由，活出丰盛。而且我希望让更多人认识基督的真理，更多的人得到自由，得到丰盛的生命。所以我要传讲这个真理，用我的一生来认识耶稣，认识真理，我了解多少，我就传讲多少。
关于手工作品生意
我希望能用最认真的态度，和最真诚的心去经营。上帝给我智慧和能力去做我自己喜欢做的事情，我相信这些东西不仅能让我懂得什么是活出丰盛的生命，也能祝福别人，给别人带去欢乐。我希望所赚的钱不仅能奉献给教会和资助一些需要帮助的人，比如孤儿院或者残疾人，也能传讲上帝的道，让更多人认识耶稣，认识真理。
关于定价
现在的定价是不高不低的。我希望让那些豪门大户有机会体验一下买一些平民手工品的乐趣，价格对他们来说可能很便宜，但是确实是我一点一滴，一针一线，每日每夜，认认真真完成的手工作品，我相信他们是明白价钱并不能定义价值的道理。也希望让平常百姓体验一下豪门大户才能买到的的限量版产品。我的每一个手工作品，可能最多四五个，有的可能真的是限量中的限量，只有独一无二的一个孤品，想买第二个，怕是有钱也买不了的。因为当我在研究某个产品的设计和颜色搭配时，经济能力只能买下两到三个作品的材料，第一个通常都是试做，剩下的材料才会做成成品售卖。而经常某种材料会出现缺货或者停产，所以想要买回同样的材料也比较难。第二个原因也是因为某一些作品很难做，表面看上去样式和做工差不多，但是其实不同的珠子，所花费的时间和精力是有很大区别的。那些实在难做的珠子，我也不愿意再多做了，手指头扎了很多个洞也才完成一点点。所谓物以稀为贵，精品本就不多，这样你手中买到的，也是更有价值的东西。
当然，在今后，如果赚到钱，我会去定制一些真金白银的零件，做成更有价值，更值得收藏和拥有的高端手工作品，让那些豪门大户们买到符合他们身份的价钱的东西。而用这些钱，可以资助更多的孤儿和那些需要帮助的人，也能让我更好的，更多途径的传讲上帝的爱和真理，让更多的人活出丰盛的生命。
